Spitfire Mk II from No. 303 Squadron RAF were not the second unit I did, but they are my second Polish fighter unit. They were painted in the same colors as the earlier Hurricanes, but instead of the Polish chessboard, there is a squadron coat of arms in front of the cockpit.

The decals, just like for Hurricane, were created especially for me by Berhnhard, for which I am very grateful :)

303 Squadron was formed on August 2, 1940 and at the end of the month it recorded its first shot down, then still in a Hurricane Mk I. Spitfire Mk IIa and IIb aircraft were in service with the unit from March to August 1941.

 

During its existence, the squadron destroyed 297 and 1/6 enemy aircraft, probably destroyed 35 more and damaged 25 enemy aircraft.

 During the war, the squadron lost 44 pilots and 10 were taken prisoner.

Spitfire Mk II z 303 Dywizjonu RAF nie były moim drugim oddziałem, który zrobiłem, ale są moim drugim polskim oddziałem na myśliwcach. Zostały one pomalowane w takie same kolory co wcześniejsze Hurricane, lecz zamiast polskiej szachownicy, przed kabiną pilota widniej herb dywizjonu.

Kalkomanie, tak samo jak przy Huuricane zostały stworzone specjalnie dla mnie przez Berhnharda, za co jestem bardzo wdzięczny :)

303 dywizjon został sformowany w dniu 2 sierpnia 1940 roku i już pod koniec miesiąca odnotował swoje pierwsze zestrzelenie, wtedy jeszcze na Hurricane Mk I. Samoloty Spitfire Mk IIa i IIb były na wyposażeniu jednostki od marca do sierpnia 1941 r. 

W czasie swojego istnienia dywizjon zniszczył 297 i 1/6 samolotów wroga, prawdopodobnie zniszczył 35 kolejnych i uszkodził 25 samolotów wroga.

W czasie wojny dywizjon stracił 44 pilotów, a 10 dostało się do niewoli.
