Monday's BRS Academy!
Over the Solomon Islands.
After a long break, we finally managed to play two battles in Blood Red Skies!
Both were in the atmosphere of fighting in the Pacific, and as is usually the case with me, first planes from a later period of the war fought against each other, and then from an earlier one :)
F6F Hellcat vs J2M Raiden
In the first battle, Łukasz and I played a small training session before the upcoming BRS tournament in Warsaw "Spring Odlot" organized this time by Karol and the Matisoft Gaming Club store!
ZAPRASZAM
We played one of the planned scenarios, Targets of Opportunity from the AirStrike manual. Since we were both playing it for the first time in order to speed things up, we gave up on playing terrain and light Flaks. At the same time, we played without fighter aces, because one of the assumptions of the tournament is their absence.
After discovering the first ground target, I also managed to shoot down the enemy plane, which meant that I was temporarily winning by 2 to 0 points :)
However, Łukasz did not wait passively and shot down my Hellcat, so we had a draw 2 to 2!
Then I managed to find two more targets, but at the expense of another plane.
Before the last activation in the game we were tied at 4 to 4, it all depended on the last plane.
My last move was to attack the ground target, which was a convoy of trucks. Unfortunately, the lack of goals meant that the entire game ended in a draw.
2x A6M2 Zero vs F4F Wildcat
The second battle was a recreational battle, which we played with three people (although Marcin is such an ace that he can easily play for two!).
For this battle, there were ultimately two isolated battles.
My Zeros boldly attacked the Wildcats commanded by Marcin and shot down the leading machine. However, instead of using the speed advantage and running away from the battlefield, or trying to protect my back, I allowed the Wildcats to jump onto the back of one of my machines in a daring maneuver and shoot it down.
The next downing also belonged to Marcin and another Zero fell somewhere in the jungle.
However, the Zeros did not remain in debt and took revenge for their downed colleagues by shooting down another Wildcat. However, this was the last downing, because as a result of the blows received, the Japanese squadron was forced to flee.

Nad wyspami Salomona.
Po dłuższej przerwie nareszcie udało się zagrać dwie bitwy w Blood Red Skies!
Obie
w klimacie walk na Pacyfiku, i jak to zwykle u mnie bywa, najpierw
walczyły przeciwko sobie samoloty z późniejszego okresu wojny, a
następnie z wcześniejszego :)

W
pierwszej bitwie razem z Łukaszem zagraliśmy mały trening przed
nadchodzącym turniejem BRS w Warszawie "Wiosenny Odlot" organizowanego
tym razem przez Karola i sklep Matisoft Gaming Club!
ZAPRASZAM
Zagraliśmy jeden z planowanych scenariuszy, czyli Targets
of Opportunity z podręcznika AirStrike. Jako, że obaj graliśmy go po
raz pierwszy w celu przyspieszenia, zrezygnowaliśmy z wystawiania
terenów i lekkich Flak-ów. Jednocześnie graliśmy bez asów myśliwskich,
ponieważ jednym z założeń turnieju jest ich brak.
Po
odkryciu pierwszego celu naziemnego, udało mi się także dokonać
zestrzelenia samolotu przeciwnika, co spowodowało, że chwilowo
wygrywałem w punktach 2 do zera :)
Jednak Łukasz nie czekał biernie i zestrzelił mojego Hellcata, w ten sposób mieliśmy remis 2 do 2!
Następnie udało mi się odnaleźć dwa kolejne cele, jednakże kosztem kolejnego samolotu.
Przed ostatnią aktywacją w grze mieliśmy remis w punktach 4 do 4, wszystko zależało od ostatniego samolotu.
Ostatnim
ruchem wykonałem atak na cel naziemny, jakim był konwój ciężarówek.
Niestety brak trafień spowodował, iż cała gra zakończyła się remisem.
2x A6M2 Zero vs F4F Wildcat
Druga
bitwa, byłą bitwą rekreacyjną, którą zagraliśmy w trzy osoby (choć w
sumie Marcin to taki as, że spokojnie sam może grać za dwóch!).
W przypadku tej bitwy ostatecznie miały miejsce dwie odizolowane bitwy.
Moje
Zera w śmiałym ataku ruszyły na Wildcaty dowodzone przez Marcina i
dokonały pierwszego zestrzelenia maszyny prowadzącej. Jednak zamiast
wykorzystać przewagę prędkości i uciec z pola bitwy, bądź starać się
chronić swoje plecy, pozwoliłem aby Wildcaty w śmiały manewrze skoczyły
na plecy jednej z mojej maszyn i ją zestrzeliły.
Następne strącenie także należało do Marcina i kolejne Zero spadło gdzieś w dżunglę.
Zera
nie pozostały jednak dłużne i dokonały zemsty za strąconych kolegów,
zestrzeliwując kolejnego Wildcata. Było to jednak ostatnie już
strącenie, ponieważ w wyniku otrzymanych ciosów, eskadra japońska
została zmuszona do ucieczki.
